Saturday 6th March 2010

We had our Saturday lunch at The Wrestlers, a 16th century pub that, as would you expect from its age, plays on its history. The main historical attraction is the deer antlers that hang above the real fire with a 17th century authentic document outlining the Highgate comical tradition of Swearing on the Horns. Of course that is what I should have taken a photo of but I didn’t want to look like a tourist so I went for these stained glass panes instead. Mainly because they were right next to where I was sitting. Also the journalist and broadcaster Jon Ronson was nearby having lunch with his family and I didn’t want to look like a stalker!
